Our products are manufactured in various forms to make them suitable for a variety of processes and applications. Continuous strands in roving form are used in specialised equipment for spray production, for conversion by customer into chopped strands or weaving or mat input. Cem-FIL® rovings have a nominal weight of 19 kg (42 lb). They are packaged in a shrink-wrapping within a cardboard carton and are designed to unwind internally. Normally 48 rovings are packed on one pallet.

53/76 Cem-FIL® 53/76 Roving: A general purpose AR chopping roving mainly for use in the manufacture of GRC composites by the manual spray method. Cem-FIL® 53/76 roving is designed for optimum processability. It is used in the manufacture of GRC architectural cladding panels and other building elements, civil engineering and infrastructure components.
5304 Cem-FIL® 5304 Roving: a specialised AR chopping roving mainly for use in the manufacture of GRC composites by the manual spray method. Cem-FIL® 5304 Roving is a premium product with improved strength retention resulting from a combination of glass composition and advanced size coating technology. It is used in the manufacture of GRC architectural cladding panels and other building elements, civil engineering and infrastructure components.
54/38 Cem-FIL® 54/38 Roving: a specialised AR glass chopping roving designed for use in automated processes for the manufacture of GRC composites. Cem-FIL® 54/38 roving is designed for excellent processability and optimum reinforcing efficiency by virtue of its high split, low tex, strand format. It is used mainly in the manufacture of standard GRC panels for roofing, wall cladding and bridge formwork.
61/1 Cem-FIL® 61/1 Roving: an AR glass process roving mainly designed for conversion into chopped strands by the user and subsequently used in the manufacture of GRC products by the premix method. The chopping of Cem-FIL® 61/1 roving results in chopped strands equivalent to the Cem-FIL® 60/2 product but the roving format allows for automation of dosage and economy of transport. Strands chopped from 61/1 roving are designed for ease of mixing and integrity. They are used in the premix process for the manufacture of GRC components for architectural, civil engineering and infrastructure.
